Sensex falls 45.46 pts

Mumbai, May 8 (UNI) The BSE Sensex remained negative on Wednesday too, slipping 45.46 pts to settle at 73466.39 as selling was seen in IT, Bankex and Technology stocks.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) ended flat at 22,302.50.
Sliding over 300 pts on Tuesday, the Sensex opened in red, felling 286 pts at 73225. During the day, it was dropped 204 pts at 73073.92, days low before closing at 73,466.39, easing 45.46 pts from its previous close.
Meanwhile, it was surged 173 pts at 73684.93, days high.
The NSE registered days high and low at 22,368.65 and 22,185.20 pts respectively.
Stocks including IT, Bankex and Technology kept the market under pressure.
IT was slipped by 0.57 pc, Bankex by 0.38 pc and Technology by 0.29 pc.
In 30 scrips, 15 advanced while 15 declined.
The Mid Cap rose by 0.78 pc and small Cap by 0.50 pc.
The losers were Asian Paints by 2.22 pc to Rs 2847, Hind Unilever by 1.73 pc to Rs 2336, Ultracemco by 1.73 pc to Rs 9520.55, HCL Technology by 1.25 pc to Rs 1314 and Bajaj Finance by 0.93 pc to Rs 6808.60.
The gainers were Tata Motors by 2.51 pc to Rs 1013, Powergrid by 2.12 pc to Rs 301.50 and NTPC by 2.02 pc to Rs 356.10.
