DCW got off to a promising start, with Jemimah Rodrigues leading the way with a fluent 34. However, the momentum shifted drastically after the powerplay as the Capitals slumped from 60/1 to 105/6. Spinners Georgia Wareham and Ekta Bisht played a pivotal role in RCB’s fightback, stifling the middle order with crucial breakthroughs.
Barring a couple of missed chances from Kanika Ahuja, RCB were sharp in the field, ensuring pressure remained on the DCW batters. Pacer Renuka Singh, in a mid-innings interview, noted that the surface was holding up and appeared on the slower side, making stroke play difficult.
