After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Mumbai Indians faced an early setback with Ishan Kishan departing for 8 runs, courtesy of a dismissal by Kagiso Rabada. However, Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav showcased their batting prowess, steadying the innings with an impressive 81-run partnership for the second wicket.
