Ailing RJD Chief Lalu airlifted to Delhi by Air ambulance

Patna, July 6 (UNI) Ailing Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav was airlifted to Delhi by an Air ambulance on Wednesday night.
RJD Rajya Sabha MP and eldest daughter of Lalu Prasad, Misa Bharti and Lalu's eldest son Tej Pratap Yadav, MLA accompanied their father in the Air ambulance.
Wife of Lalu Yadav and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi and the youngest son of Yadav couple Tejasvi Yadav, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly as well as his spouse has already left for Delhi during the day in connection with the treatment of Lalu Yadav.
Before leaving for New Delhi Tej Pratap Yadav told news persons that if acquired Lalu Yadav may be shifted to Singapore for better treatment. He said that Lalu Yadav was scheduled to visit Singapore for his treatment but because of his health conditions his travel was deferred.
Lalu Prasad was admitted to Paras Hospital after he slipped from the stairs at the official residence of his wife Rabri Devi in Patna on Sunday night.
He has a shoulder bone fracture and an injury in the pelvic region.
Earlier Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had visited Lalu Yadav at the ICU of the Paras Hospital during the day and enquired in detail about his health conditions from the doctors treating him.
Later he dubbed Lalu Prasad as his old friend and prayed for his speedy recovery.
Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey, Bihar industry minister Shahnawaz Hussain, Bihar Road Construction Minister Nitin Nabin and several other leaders cutting across party lines also visited the RJD leader in Paras hospital during the day.
Earlier Prime Minister Narendra Modi had spoken to Tejasvi Yadav about the RJD supremo's health condition.
As per the records of Ranchi Medical College, Lalu Prasad was suffering from multiple diseases.
Meanwhile, his staunch supporters were offering a special prayer for the well-being of Lalu Yadav and for his speedy recovery.
