Sudarsan Pattnaik sets world record with largest boat sculpture

Cuttack, Nov 4 (UNI) Padma Shri awardee and internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has created a new world record with the largest boat sculpture art installation, crafted entirely from areca nuts and coconuts, unveiled at the Bali Jatra festival in Cuttack.
The monumental sculpture, displayed at the PP4 Enclosure near Boat Gate, Lower Bali Jatra Ground, measures 50 feet in length and 30 feet in width. It was artistically constructed using 12,000 arecanuts, 500 coconuts, and 1,100 diyas.
Developed in collaboration with the DION Group, this extraordinary installation pays tribute to Odisha’s ancient maritime heritage and the enduring spirit of Bali Jatra.
