Odisha cabinet approves Rs.2000 financial assistance to landless agricultural household

Bhubaneswar, Feb 22 (UNI) The Odisha cabinet on Thursday provided an one-time additional financial assistance of Rs.2000 to landless agricultural households in the state under the KALIA scheme.
The state government had implemented the farmers welfare scheme Kalia (Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation ) from 2018-19 for accelerating the prosperity and progress of Agriculture by alleviating the poverty of landless agricultural households.
The eligible landless agricultural household is being provided with an assistance of Rs.12,500 in three installments to take up livestock and horticultural crops-based activities to accelerate their agricultural prosperity and provide an alternate livelihood.
