ED's fresh raids in Kolkata in alleged cash-for-jobs scam in civic bodies

Kolkata, Oct 28 (UNI) The Enforcement Directorate (ED), probing the money trails in alleged cash for jobs in different civic bodies, today launched fresh search operations in two properties of businessmen brothers in the eastern part of the city of Beleghata, official sources said.
ED officials, accompanied by the Central armed forces, began a search operation in the properties of Biswajit Chowdhury and Ranjit Chowdhury, the former is a cloth merchant and the latter is a real estate promoter.
While the Central armed forces were on guard outside of the houses, ED officials, including women officials, entered inside the premises at Beleghata Hemchandra Naskar Road.
