Meghalaya: 30-year-old rag-picker suspected buried alive

Shillong, Feb 3 (UNI) A 30-year-old ragpicker was suspected to have been buried alive at the landfill in Marten in the outskirts of the Meghalaya capital on Saturday, police said.
A police official said a rescue operation is on to rescue the ragpicker, identified as Marshal Marwein, but till the filing of this report, the victim has not been found.
The incident occurred this afternoon when a heap of garbage caved in on Marwein as he was going through the garbage to collect scrap material from the landfill.
