Over Rs 500 crores spent in upgrading Meghalaya's educational infrastructure: Sangma

Shillong, Feb 8 (UNI) Meghalaya government has spent over Rs 500 crores since 2018 in improving and upgrading educational infrastructures all across the state, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said here on Thursday.
Inaugurating the Academic Block, Girls’ Hostel and Boys’ Hostel of Williamnagar Government College, Mini Outdoor Stadium, and the Entrepreneurship Cell under the Entrepreneurship Promotion Development Program at Williamnagar, East Garo Hills, the Chief Minister said, infrastructure needs to be improved to improve the quality of education.
Expressing his gratitude to all who were instrumental in the establishment of the college building, Sangma said the Williamnagar College was provincialized in 2008 but since then no investment has been made to improve the college.
