BJP submits list of 17 lakh "fake" LS voters in Bengal

Kolkata, Feb 28 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari on Wednesday said that the BJP has submitted to the Election Commission a 15000-page list of alleged 17 lakh fake or false voters across West Bengal and served a 10-day ultimatum to correct the same.
Adhikari, who led a six-member BJP delegation to Chief Electoral Officer Aariz Aftab, submitted a list of 16 lakh 91 thousand 132 voters across the 42 Lok Sabha seats where majority of voters have double entry in the electoral lists, which were issued on January 22.
While addressing the anomalies in the voter lists, mostly the double entry of the name of a voter with same name, same address and father's name, Adhikari expressed disappointment over the election commission's "inaction" despite previous assurances to rectify the issue.
