Peaceful polling in Bengal ; Around 74 pc turnout till 5 PM

Kolkata, May 7 (UNI) Barring a few stray incidents, the third phase election to four Lok Sabha seats in Bengal passed off peacefully with an estimated 73.93 per cent of more than 7.3 million electorate exercising their franchise till 5 PM on Tuesday.
While Murshidabad recorded 65.40 per cent polling, Jangipur recorded 76.49 per cent, Malda (North) 73.30 per cent and Malda (South) 73.68 per cent, according to ECI sources.Bypoll is also being held simultaneously at the Bhagobangola Assembly seat in Mursidabad, where 73.68 per cent polling was recorded till 5 PM.
Meanwhile, CPI(M) candidate from Murshidabad XXXXXXX Eds: Pls Pick Up Suitably From Para Four Line One Of CA 18 "Election-Bengal-Third Lead Polling".
