49.3 pc voting till 1 pm in Meghalaya Gambegre assembly by-poll

Shillong, Nov 13 (UNI) An estimated of 49.3 percent voter turnout was recorded till 1 pm for by-election to Gambegre assembly constituency in Meghalaya on Wednesday, election officials said.
Voting began at 7 am in all 51 polling stations and will go on till 4 pm.
“Voting is going on peacefully in all polling stations. Elaborate security has been deployed especially in 31 critical polling stations,” Chief Electoral Officer, Dr. B.D.R.Tiwari said.
