Meghalaya fully prepared for LS polls on Apr 19

Shillong, Apr 4 (UNI) Meghalaya is fully prepared for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections scheduled on April 19 especially in polling stations near the international border with Bangladesh and those along the inter-state border with Assam.
“There are over 140 polling stations bordering the international border with Bangladesh and 187 polling stations along the inter-state border with Assam,” Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Dr. B.D.R. Tiwari said on Thursday.
He that there are 164 polling stations where polling parties will have to move through Assam to reach their respective destinations.
