Two-phase Bihar Assembly elections saw highest-ever 71.6 pc turnout of women

Patna, Nov 11 (UNI) Bihar not only witnessed record polling of 66.91 percent in the two phases of assembly elections, but also the highest ever 71.6 percent turnout of women voters.
Within hours after end of the second and final phase of the assembly elections in 122 seats today, the Election Commission released poll-related data, which indicates that all sorts of history, both in terms of overall polling and women turnout, has been created.
A total of 66.91 percent polling was recorded, spanning over two phases of assembly elections in Bihar, which is the highest ever since 1951, when the first Lok Sabha and assembly elections were held in the state.
