Arunachal CM files nominations for Apr 19 polls

Itanagar, Mar 22 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Pema Khandu on Friday filed his nomination papers from his seat, Mukto, in Tawang district, for the upcoming Assembly polls.
While filing his nominations, Khandu was accompanied by the chairman of the BJP's election campaign committee for Arunachal West, Home Minister Bamang Felix, and Agriculture Minister Tage Taki, while other leaders and a sea of supporters waited outside the office of Addl Deputy Commissioner at Jang.
Khandu has been representing Mukto constituency since 2011, following the demise of his father and former Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu in a helicopter crash near Luguthang in Tawang district in April 2011.
