Mamata Banerjee say under Swasthya Sathi scheme over 1 crore people received hospitalisation benefits of over Rs 1,300 Cr

Kolkata, Nov 3 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today announced that the state's leading health assurance scheme, 'Swasthya Sathi', has achieved a major milestone, recording one crore hospital admissions as on October 31.
She pointed out that the residents, who opted for this health scheme of the state, have received cashless medical treatment valued at Rs13,156 crore under the initiative, with the entire cost borne by the state government.
"'Swasthya Sathi'— the all-inclusive, unique health assurance scheme of Government of West Bengal has achieved one crore hospitalisations mark on October 31 2025, where cashless health care benefit of Rs13,156 crore has been provided to the citizens of West Bengal entirely from the state Budget," Ms Banerjee said in a post on X.

The party in a statement said the incident that unfolded in the stadium today was deeply regrettable and must never be allowed to happen again.
