Cong, Left and TMC conspiring to finish reservation for OBC, ST and SC : PM Modi

Cong, Left and TMC conspiring to finish reservation for OBC, ST and SC : PM Modi

Bardhaman, May 3 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday charged the Congress, Left and TMC with "conspiring" in an alliance (INDIA) to end the reservation for the OBC, ST and SC and allot it to the Muslims on the religious ground for their vote bank.
Addressing an electioneering here, Modi said he was aghast to learn that a TMC leader in Bengal on Thursday allegedly threatened to drown all the Hindus in the Bhagirathi (Ganga) in two hours and expressed his apprehension about what will happen to the Hindus of this state, who were attacked during Ram Navami celebration recently.
" They (Opposition) cannot bring development. They only know how to drive a wedge in the society for the sake of votes. A TMC MLA has issued an open threat. He said they would drown Hindus in the Bhagirathi in just two hours. What is this language and political culture?... What is happening to Hindus in Bengal? Looks like the TMC has made the Hindus second citizens in West Bengal, " Modi averred.
Modi, who was campaigning for BJP MP Dilip Ghosh contesting from Burdwan-Durgapur Lok Sabha seat and singer poet Ashim Sarkar for Bardwan Purba, slammed the TMC and Left in Bengal and alleged that the Hindus have been made a second-class citizen in the state.
" The Congress, Left and TMC do not have a vision for development. You know very well what the Left, Congress and TMC can do to a state. Tripura, nearby, was destroyed by the Leftists for 35 years. But in the past five years, BJP has changed the complexion of entire Tripura. When the Leftists left, the sun of development started rising, " he stated.
Recalling the Congress leader's "vote jihad" remark, PM Modi said the TMC and Congress were silent on the matter.
He urged the people to vote for the country and keep it united as the BJP has been fighting for this.
"The game of vote jihad was played silently behind the curtains for decades in our country. They have become so frustrated that for the first time they are announcing to conduct vote jihad on miking now.
The Congress' royal family, TMC's family, Left's family are silent. All partners of I.N.D.I.A Alliance are silent on the vote jihad matter. But you cast a vote for the country," Modi asserted amid cheers of
Jay Shree Ram from the gathering.
Modi also had a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's candidature from Rae Bareli, as the junior Gandhi is now contesting from Rae Bareli besides the Wayanad seat and asked him "not to be scared and flee".
He said after June 4 the Shahzada" would search again for a new constituency, as did another senior member of the family, who last got Rajya Sabha seat from Rajasthan.
"I had said earlier that Shahzada will lose in Wayanad and as soon as polling ends in Wayanad, he will start looking for a third seat. His supporters were saying that he will come to Amethi. But Shahzada is so scared of Amethi that he fled to Rae Bareli. These people tell everyone 'Daro mat'. I tell them 'Are Daro mat, bhago mat' (don't be scared, don't flee)," he maintained.
Modi also lambasted the TMC for its alleged corruption and said the party was opposing the CAA to appease the minority.
" Tell me where the people who arrived in India after being persecuted in other countries on religious ground would go if they are not accorded Indian citizenship, " Modi asked.
The PM also asked the BJP Karyakartas to set up a legal cell and open a platform to support those qualified teachers who got dismissed for corruption of the TMC government in education.
" I assure you all the qualified teachers would get BJP's legal help for their reinstatement in the jobs, " the PM clarified.
