Tejaswi rolls out poll promises: MSP bonus, Old Pension Scheme, aid for women

Patna, Nov. 4 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav today unveiled a series of welfare promises for farmers, women, and government employees, asserting that if a Mahagathbandhan government comes to power, it would provide bonus payments over the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for paddy and wheat, along with free electricity for irrigation.
Addressing a press conference in Patna, Yadav said farmers in Bihar were being forced to sell their produce below MSP due to the lack of an effective procurement system.
“After the formation of our government, it will be ensured that farmers get full MSP for their produce. In addition, they will receive Rs 300 per quintal on paddy and Rs 400 per quintal on wheat as a bonus,” he said.
