Over 70000 people take out rallies against  AFSPA, terrorism

Imphal, Dec 10 (UNI) Over 70000 people took out a rally on Tuesday demanding repeal of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act 1958 and action against terrorists.
The protestors shouted slogans demanding the withdrawal of AFSPA and the protection of the territorial integrity of Manipur.
The rally started at Thau ground and converged at Khuman Lampak ground.

The rally organised by All Manipur United Clubs Organisation (AMUCO), Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur, All Manipur Women Voluntary Association, Committee on Human Rights, and Manipur Students' Federation was participated by all communities of Manipur.

Imphal, Jan 25 (UNI) Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh distributed advanced prosthetic devices including State-of-the-Art Myoelectric Hands and Motorized Wheelchairs, to persons with Disabilities (PwDs) at the Secretariat on Saturday.
The Chief Minister stated that after the formation of the BJP-led government in 2017, the government has been launching various schemes to aid the marginal section of society and to assist persons with disability. He spoke on schemes including Chief Minister-gi Hakselgi Tengbang (CMHT), Chief Minister-gi Sotharabasingi Tengbang and School Fagathansi Mission among others.
