Jharkhand: State-Level school athletics meet to see participation of 2,500 students

Ranchi, Oct 29 (UNI) The Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC) will organize the State-Level School Athletics Competition under Khelo Jharkhand from October 30 to November 1. The event will be held at Birsa Munda Football Stadium, Morabadi, while player registration is ongoing at Birsa Munda Stadium, Khelgaon.
Around 2,500 students, including 1,217 girls and 1,230 boys from 24 districts will compete across Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 categories in various track and field events. Players securing first place in district-level Khelo Jharkhand competitions are eligible to participate.
Organizing Secretary and State Programme Officer Shri Dhirsen A. Soren informed that all preparations have been completed and emphasized discipline, punctuality, and safety of players.

Patna, Dec 11(UNI) RJD senior leader Shivanand Tivary has questioned the disappearance of Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav from the political scene after the party’s crushing defeat in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Tivary advised Tejashwi to return to the field without delay.
In an open letter addressed to Tejashwi, Tivary held Sanjay Yadav and former RJD Bihar president Jagadanand Singh, both considered close to the RJD’s de facto chief, responsible for keeping him in the dark.
