Nagaland’s five tribes committee on job quota review to boycott I-Day prog

Dimapur, Aug 9 (UNI) The five Tribes Core Committee on Review of Reservation Policy (CoRRP) today decided not to participate in the upcoming Independence Day celebrations in protest against the Nagaland cabinet’s August 6 decision on the composition of the Reservation Review Commission that includes civil society organisations.
The committee also announced that its apex tribal bodies and frontal organisations will abstain from participating in other government functions.
The decision was taken at a meeting between the CoRRP and apex tribal body representatives in Kohima.
