Heat wave spell to continue across WB in next 5 days

Kolkata, April 29 (UNI) Prolonged heat wave conditions largely affected normal life across West Bengal and this dry westerly to north westerly wind at lower levels continue to prevail in next five days, weathermen said on Monday.
" Mainly dry westerly to north westerly wind at lower levels continues to prevail over the region and due to strong solar insolation heat wave condition is very likely to prevail over the districts of West Bengal during upto May 3, " a weather bulletin said.
They warned the people to avoid Sun from 10 am to 4 PM and preferred to remain indoors to avoid a possible heat stroke.

First private medical college of Meghalaya will start to intake students

Shillong, Oct 3 (UNI) Meghalaya’s first private medical college, the PA Sangma International Medical College, will start to intake students from the current academic session.
The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has granted approval to the USTM for the intake of 150 students in an academic year.
However, the National Medical Commission (NMC), the regulatory body for medical education in India, has yet to grant permission to the PA Sangma International Medical College.
