Mumbai, May 23 (UNI) Moosa Saleem, a rising star from Jammu and Kashmir, has been awarded Best Electronic Artist of the Year at The Indian Music Diaries Awards 2024 in Mumbai. Competing against renowned artists like Kiss Nuka and Hashbass, Moosa's win highlights his impressive journey from Doda to Srinagar and Mumbai.
Educated at Tyndale Biscoe, the Army School in Srinagar, and KC Public School in Jammu, Moosa’s music is a blend of deep house and indie disco, with his hit "Behroopiya" exemplifying his unique style. Industry icons such as Martin Garrix and Tiësto have recognised his talent. With releases on over 40 labels and collaborations with more than 60 international artists, Moosa has established a global presence.
Aside from his music career, Moosa is an accomplished writer with four books and two graphic novellas. He has also worked in film direction for notable movies like Laila Majnu, Haider, and Shikara. Moosa Saleem's multifaceted artistry marks the beginning of a promising career in electronic music.
