Crime Branch busts third organized syndicate in traffic fraud, extortion racket

New Delhi, Dec 13 (UNI) The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has busted a third major organized crime syndicate involved in large-scale traffic frauds and extortion, arresting three accused, including the mastermind of a racket that facilitated illegal movement of commercial vehicles during no-entry hours, an official said on Saturday.
The police said that the Crime Branch’s Anti-Robbery & Snatching Cell (ARSC) arrested Rinku Rana, alias Bhushan, the kingpin of a syndicate that "sold" illegal stickers to commercial vehicle owners and drivers for Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000 per vehicle per month.
These stickers falsely claimed exemption from traffic enforcement, allowing vehicles to operate freely during restricted hours.
