Indians hope for better living standards in 2026: Ipsos Survey

New Delhi, Dec 9 (UNI) India is heading into 2026 with more optimism than any other nation in the world, said the latest Ipsos Cost of Living Monitor.
The survey, which is conducted across 30 global markets, finds Indians leading the world in confidence about rising disposable incomes, stronger salaries and better living standards in the coming year.
Moreover, the headline number sets the tone: 51 per cent of Indians believe their standard of living will improve in 2026. It’s a striking level of hope at a time when much of the world is battling economic unease.

Centre to begin disbursing first tranche of Rs 1 lakh crore RDI funds to industry, start-ups by month-end

SC seeks report from panel on deficiencies in Manipur relief camps

New Delhi, Jan 19 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Monday requested the three-member committee headed by former Chief Justice of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Justice Gita Mittal, to examine allegations of deficiencies in facilities at 14 relief camps sheltering internally displaced persons affected by ethnic violence in Manipur and submit a report within two months.
