New Delhi, Dec 10 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Tuesday took note of newspaper reports of a speech given by Allahabad High Court judge Shekhar Kumar Yadav, and called for details and particulars from the HC.
Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna sought the details and the matter is under consideration.
Justice Shekhar had said that India will function only as per the wishes of the majority. The judge also used controversial terms like Kathmulla etc. He was speaking at at an event organised by the Vishva Hindu Parishad.
The Supreme Court announced the decision of the CJI through a press release circulated to all the scribes.
