PM Modi mourns Goa nightclub fire tragedy; 23 dead in Arpora blaze

New Delhi, Dec 7 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday expressed sorrow following the devastating fire at a nightclub in Arpora, Goa, which has tragically claimed at least 23 lives and left approximately 50 people injured.
"The fire mishap in Arpora, Goa, is deeply saddening. My thoughts are with all those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured recover at the earliest," PM Modi posted on his X handle.
The deadly incident occurred last night around midnight at Birch by Romeo Lane, a nightclub in Arpora. Initial reports suggest the blaze, which killed 23 people, including three women, and injured around 50 others, was triggered by a cylinder blast.
