PM Modi holds talks with Presidents of UAE, Uzbekistan, Egypt in Kazan

Kazan/New Delhi, Oct 23 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday held talks with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan and with Egyptian President Abdelfattah Elsisi in Kazan, on the sidelines of the 16th BRICS Summit.
In a post on his meeting with the UAE President, PM Modi said:
“Glad to have met my brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE, on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit in Kazan. @MohamedBinZayed”
The MEA spokesperson said in a post that the two leaders exchanged views on the situation in West Asia and agreed to continue efforts for early restoration of peace, security and stability.
“PM @narendramodi met President HH @MohamedBinZayed of UAE on the sidelines of the #BRICS2024 Summit.
“Both leaders reviewed and positively assessed the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
They exchanged views on the situation in West Asia and agreed to continue efforts for early restoration of peace, security and stability.”
The PM said of his meeting with the Uzbek President:
“Had a wonderful meeting with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Kazan. Discussed ways to boost bilateral cooperation between India and Uzbekistan including trade and cultural linkages.”
The MEA spokespersons said the two leaders agreed to work together in regional and global fora for strengthening the voice of the global south.

today in Kazan on the margins of the 16th #BRICS2024 Summit.
“The leaders reviewed progress in India-Uzbekistan bilateral cooperation including in trade, economic, health, connectivity, capacity building and digital technologies. They agreed to work together in regional and global fora for strengthening the voice of the global south.”
The PM said of his meeting with the Egyptian President:
“Happy to have interacted with President Abdelfattah Elsisi in Kazan.
@AlsisiOfficial”.
The PM later emplaned for New Delhi at the end of his visit to Kazan.
He said in a post that the BRICS summit was very productive.
“The BRICS Summit in Kazan was very productive. Had the opportunity to discuss diverse issues and meet various world leaders. I thank President Putin, the Russian people and Government for their hospitality.”
