PM Modi, Amit Shah pay last respects to late Dr Manmohan Singh

New Delhi, Dec 27 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid his tributes to late Dr Manmohan Singh at his residence in New Delhi.
Along with Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP party President J P Nadda also paid their tributes to former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh at his residence.
Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh passed away at Delhi's AIIMS hospital on Thursday. He was 92.
In a statement, the hospital said the Congress veteran was being treated for age-related medical conditions and had "sudden loss of consciousness at home".
"Despite all efforts, he could not be revived and was declared dead at 9.51pm," the statement added.
Manmohan Singh was Prime Minister for two terms in the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government from 2004 to 2014.

SC reserves verdict on plea seeking withdrawal of life support for man in permanent vegetative state

New Delhi, Jan 15 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Thursday reserved its judgment on a plea seeking withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment for a 32-year-old man who has remained in an irreversible permanent vegetative state for nearly 12 years following a fall from a building.
A Bench comprising Justice J.B. Pardiwala and Justice K.V. Viswanathan was hearing a miscellaneous application filed by the man’s father seeking permission to discontinue all life-sustaining treatment.
