UP govt spoiling atmosphere in Sambhal, alleges Priyanka

New Delhi, Nov 25 (UNI) Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday slammed the Uttar Pradesh government over the Sambhal violence and accused the state government of 'spoiling the atmosphere'.
She also accused the administration of 'acting in haste in a sensitive issue without listening to the other side' and urged the Supreme Court to take cognizance of the matter and do justice.
On social media handle X. Priyanka said, "The attitude of the state government towards the sudden dispute in Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh is very unfortunate."
"The way the administration acted in haste in such a sensitive matter without listening to the other side and without taking both the parties into confidence shows that the government itself spoiled the atmosphere," the MP-elect from Wayanad said.
She said, "Sitting in power and trying to spread discrimination, oppression and division is neither in the interest of people nor in the interest of the country. The honourable Supreme Court should take cognizance of this matter and do justice".
Through her post, Priyanka also appealed to the people of the state to maintain peace under all circumstances.
