New Delhi, Feb 2 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for NLC India's Talabira thermal power project, worth more than 27,000 crore in Odisha, on February 3.
NLC India is setting up a 2400 MW coal-based ultra-critical pit head thermal power project at Talabira in Jharsuguda district of Odisha at an estimated cost of Rs 27,212 crore, and further 800 MW are also planned in the second phase with an investment of over Rs 8000 crore.
"This is the largest greenfield pithead thermal power station envisaged in the country in the recent past that ensures the energy security of the country and powers the growth of the nation," NLC India said in a statement.
