Kazan/New Delhi, Oct 22 (UNI) Russian President Vladimir Putin evoked an appreciative laugh from Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he joked that their relations are so close that PM Modi will understand without the aid of a translator.
“Our relations are so good, you understand without a translator," President Putin joked, speaking in Russian, and PM Modi smiled and then broke into an appreciative laugh as the words were translated into English.
During their bilateral meeting in Kazan, on the sidelines of the 16th BRICS Summit, President Putin also highlighted the special privileged strategic partnership between Russia and India.
He emphasized the importance of cooperation with India within the BRICS framework, underscoring the strong ties between the two nations and their collaboration on key global issues, as per Sputnik.
This is the second meeting between the two leaders in three months, and PM Modi's second visit to Russia for meeting President Putin. They last met in July in Moscow for the annual bilateral summit meeting.
