Officials make arrangements for winter weather: Hamirpur DC

Hamirpur Nov 27 (UNI) Deputy Commissioner cum Chairman of District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Amarjit Singh has instructed all SDMs of the district and other officials to make necessary arrangements to deal with any kind of emergency during the winter season.
The Deputy Commissioner gave these instructions during a meeting with the district officials to review the preparations of the district administration and DDMA for the winter season. He said that during this season there is less risk of natural calamity in the district, but many times emergency situations arise due to fire, falling of trees or other accidents due to dense fog.
Teams of firemen, home guards, police and other volunteers should be ready at all times for any kind of emergency. The Deputy Commissioner also issued guidelines to the officials about electricity, road, drinking water, mobile network and all other essential services. He said dangerous trees around power lines, buildings and roads should be removed immediately.

J&K Police issue safety directions to tourism stakeholders in Pahalgam

Srinagar, Jan 20 (UNI) To strengthen tourist safety during the winter season at the hill resort of Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday directed tourism stakeholders to maintain proper records of all guests, ensure round-the-clock safety and security of tourists, strictly prohibit the use of drones in restricted or sensitive areas, and refrain from taking visitors to unsafe or off-limits locations.

SIT summons Udhamsingh Nagar SSP in farmer's suicide case in Uttarakhand

Manikant Mishra was named by the deceased in his suicide video that went viral after he shot himself dead at a hotel in Nainital.
