J&K: Health Minister suspends 3 doctors for dereliction of duty at DH Kulgam

Srinagar, Dec 8 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo, on Sunday suspended three doctors for dereliction of duty at the District Hospital Kulgam in south Kashmir.
During the surprise inspection, the Minister found three doctors absent from duty and suspended them immediately for dereliction of assigned duties, an official spokesman said.
Taking strong note of this irresponsible and unprofessional behaviour of doctors, the Minister maintained that absenteeism and neglect of duty would not be tolerated at all.

Himachal HC admits PIL challenging commercial use of Thodo Ground by Solan MC

Shimla, Nov 17 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh High Court on Tuesday admitted a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) alleging unchecked commercial use of the historic Thodo Ground in Solan by the Solan Municipal Corporation.
The petition, filed by local residents led by Kushal Jethi, asserts that the ground, traditionally reserved for community and recreational activities, is being diverted for profit-oriented events in violation of its public character.
