Three teachers booked for brutally assaulting Dalit Student, placing scorpion in his clothes: BEEO confirms earlier complaints of "Scorpion Horror"

Shimla, Nov 3 (UNI) In a shocking case that has once again exposed the dark underbelly of caste bias and child abuse in Himachal Pradesh's schools, three government school teachers — including the headmaster — have been booked for allegedly torturing a Dalit boy and placing a live scorpion in his clothes at Government Primary School Khaddapani under Rohru subdivision of Shimla district.
According to the police complaint filed by the victim's father, the Class-I boy had been subjected to repeated physical torture for almost a year by Headmaster Devendra and teachers Babu Ram and Kritika Thakur. The father alleged that the teachers had on several occasions beaten the child so brutally that his ear bled and his eardrum was damaged.
In one particularly heinous incident, the accused allegedly forced the child into a toilet, placed a scorpion inside his pants, and later threatened to expel him if he spoke about the ordeal. The family was also allegedly warned of dire consequences — including being "burned alive" — should they approach the authorities or post about the abuse online.
