Punjab Police raids Jalandhar hideout of drug trafficker Sunny Singh, two injured

Chandigarh, August 8 (UNI): Punjab Police’s Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) engaged in a gun battle with notorious drug trafficker Sunny Singh and his associates in Jalandhar’s Gorsian village, after a raid on his hideout turned violent.
Acting on a tip-off about a large-scale drug operation, ANTF teams surrounded the location. As police approached, Sunny Singh and his men opened fire, prompting the force to retaliate with controlled gunfire.
During the exchange, Devinder Singh, a key aide of Sunny Singh, sustained bullet injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is reported to be stable under police guard. Several other accomplices managed to flee from the location, triggering a large-scale manhunt.
