Sujanpur Sainik School is best in country in education, sports & army selection, says Anurag Singh Thakur

Sujanprtira (HP), Nov 3(UNI) Former union Minister and Member of Parliament from Hamirpur Lok Sabha constituency, Anurag Thakur, today extended his best wishes to the students, teachers, and management committee present at the 48th Foundation Day and Annual Function of Sainik School Sujanpur Tira and described it as 'the nursery of NDA'.
Addressing the students at a function held at Sainik School, Anurag Thakur said, "Sainik School Sujanpur has made a distinct mark in the areas of academic quality, good performance in sports and selection in the army in the 48 years since its establishment. It is not just an educational institution, it is a School of Patriotism, it is a School of Nationalism".
He further said, "As far as I know, there are 33 Sainik Schools across India, but Sainik School Sujanpur is called the nursery of NDA. Every child studying here is the heritage of the nation, a guardian of the nation and a symbol of national security. Our aim is that in two years, when Sainik School Sujanpur will be celebrating its 50th anniversary, we will be the best school in the country in education, sports and army selection."

Over 4 5 lakh absent/deceased voters delistested in Uttarakhand in pre-SIR exercise

Dehradun, May 15 (UNI) More than 4.5 lakh voters in Uttarakhand have been delisted from the Electoral rolls as they were found unavailable at their places during the pre-SIR exercise process by the Election Commission of India(ECI).
As the SIR will begin on May 29 these names were removed as they fell in the ASD (Absentee, Shifted, and Deceased) categories.
In Uttarakhand, the number of voters has dropped by 4,53,459 in the past year.
