CML and Lucknow Cantonment Board to launch large-scale Bioplastics adoption initiative on World Environment Day

Lucknow, June 2 (UNI) In a significant step towards advancing sustainable alternatives to conventional plastics, Balrampur Chini Mills Limited (BCML), one of India's leading integrated sugar and ethanol companies, in collaboration with the Lucknow Cantonment Board, will announce a large-scale bioplastics adoption initiative at Bioyug Green Command 2026 on World Environment Day.
The initiative will be launched in the distinguished presence of Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister of India, as the Chief Guest, and Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, as the Guest of Honour. Their participation underscores the growing national importance of sustainable materials, circular economy solutions, and environmentally responsible innovation.
Bioyug Green Command 2026 will serve as a premier platform, bringing together policymakers, government institutions, industry leaders, defence representatives, researchers, and ecosystem partners to discuss the future of sustainable materials and bioplastics in India.
