Himachal: Fmr CM asks CM not to punish Baddi SP

Palampur, Nov 25 (UNI) Former chief minister of Himachal Pradesh and former Union minister, Shanta Kumar, on Monday urged Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu not to punish Baddi superintendent of police Ilma Afroz for her honesty and devotion to duty, as this would bring a bad name to the state in the entire country.
In a letter to CM Sukhu, he expressed his deep concern over the circumstances that forced Baddi superintendent of police Ilma Afroz to proceed on leave and the state government was silent on the issue.
He pointed that the media reports reveal that the SP is a capable and honest officer and she had taken strict action allegedly against the illegal work of a politician's family, that is why she was sent on leave by the government.
