Gehlot opposes launch of voter roll revision exercise in Rajasthan citing pending SC hearing

Jaipur, Oct 28 (UNI) Amid opposition protests and reservations from the Congress, the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls began in Rajasthan today.
The statewide exercise will continue till February 7, 2026, officials said.
State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Navin Mahajan shared the detailed timeline and administrative preparedness for the exercise, which is being launched simultaneously in 12 states as part of SIR Phase-II.
