Cong wants to divide country into pieces: Anurag Thakur

Basti (UP), May 1 (UNI) Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur on Wednesday said that while the Modi government has saved the people of the country from starvation and epidemic, Congress wants to divide the country into many pieces and there false rumours are being spread regarding vaccination.
While addressing a public meeting after nomination of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate and sitting MP Harish Dwivedi, the Union Minister said that during the pandemic, when the people of the country were in trouble, the Modi government was doing the work of serving food grains in the plates of the poor which continuous till date.
He said that the people of the country were saved from the pandemic by providing free vaccination. "The opposition sometimes cries over its defeat on EVMs and sometimes spreads false rumours about the vaccination," he said.
Thakur said that ever since Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, India is continuously moving towards development. "25 crore families have come out of the poverty line. Free treatment of Rs 5 lakh is being given to each family. BJP's support base is continuously increasing. Due to which the opposition is completely nervous and is making baseless statements," he said.
He said that the opposition got the doors of the court opened at midnight in support of the terrorists who attacked the Parliament House. "These people want to divide the country into many pieces. The public is ready to give them a befitting reply," he said.
The Union Minister said that the opposition has always raised questions on Lord Shri Ram. "From the time of his consecration till today, the opposition is avoiding having darshan of Lord Shri Ram, but they do not know that without having darshan of Lord Ram Lalla, there will be no welfare," he said.
He said that the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who has lost his ground, is adopting every trick to find his base and is trying to divide the country into many pieces. "Congress, Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) have promoted goons and mafias, but ever since Yogi Adityanath has become the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, the state has become mafia-free," he said.
Thakur said that ever since the surgical strike took place against Pakistan under the able direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Pakistan has started talking about peace, now the adversary does not have the courage to look at India.
He said that by winning the 2024 Lok Sabha elections with an overwhelming majority, Narendra Modi is going to build a strong India by becoming the Prime Minister for the third time.
