Jaipur, Sep 23 (UNI) Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi laid the foundation stone of the new building of the Rajasthan Congress in Jaipur on Saturday.
On this occasion, many leaders, including Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, General Secretary KC Venugopal, Congress' Rajasthan in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Assembly Speaker Dr. CP Joshi, State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara, and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot, were present.
After this, at the function organised on this occasion, Kharge and Rahul Gandhi were welcomed wearing turbans.
Before this, Rahul Gandhi reached Maharani College, where he talked to the girl students and then travelled on a scooter with the students.
When Rahul Gandhi reached Jaipur in the morning, Gehlot welcomed him at the airport.
Dotasara and Randhawa were also present on this occasion. After this, when Kharge reached Jaipur, Gehlot and other Congress leaders also gave him a warm welcome.
The new building of the headquarters of the Rajasthan Congress will be built in Mansarovar, where about six thousand square yards of land has been allotted for it, and it will cost about Rs 80 crore.
