Srinagar: Uber launches first water transport service on iconic Dal Lake

Srinagar, Dec 2 (UNI) Uber has introduced its first water transport service in India, allowing visitors to pre-book iconic Shikara rides on Srinagar’s picturesque Dal Lake, the company said on Monday.
Named as Uber Shikara, the service was launched on Monday as a limited-period initiative aimed at blending modern convenience with the region’s rich cultural heritage.
“Introducing Uber Shikara in Srinagar! The perfect blend of tradition and tech! Now you can book your serene Shikara ride up to 15 days in advance. With just a tap on the Uber app, you are ready to set sail. Experience Dal Lake like never before,” Uber India announced on X.
