Himachal: Neri in Hamirpur sizzles at 42.9 degree Celsius

Shimla, May 17 (UNI) Neri in Himachal Pradesh's Hamirpur witnessed a scorching heatwave on Friday as it sizzled at 42.9 degrees Celsius.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, following the heatwave, forest fire broke out in many of the woods in Himachal Pradesh and Uttrakhand. A fire broke out in a cowshed in Jogindernagar in the morning injuring a person while he was rescuing the cattle from the cowshed.
The IMD said that the maximum temperature of Neri was 42.9, Una was around 42, while Dhaulakuna in Sirmour and Bilaspur town recorded 41.7 each.
