Ex-diplomat Vohra forecasts potental split of Bangladesh

Bengaluru, Dec 7 (UNI) Deepak Vohra, a seasoned international affairs expert and former diplomat, highlighted the growing threat of religious extremism and its role in the fragmentation of nations, including Bangladesh.
He argued that radicalism within Islam, among other forces, is driving divisions and instability across several countries.
In an interview with UNI here on Saturday, Vohra pointed to the historical and current impacts of extremism in regions such as Sudan, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and the Sahel region, where religious tensions have led to military dictatorships, civil war, and the disintegration of once-stable states.
