C&AG launches Centre of Excellence for Financial Audit in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Nov 26 (UNI) Comptroller and Auditor General of India K Sanjay Murthy on Wednesday inaugurated the Centre of Excellence for Financial Audit (CoEFA) in Hyderabad, aimed at transforming financial auditing in Public Sector Enterprises, Autonomous Bodies and Urban Local Bodies through technology-driven practices.
The centre, functioning under the National Academy of Audit and Accounts (NAAA), Shimla, will focus on research, policy support, training and adoption of AI and machine-learning-based auditing tools.
Officials said the initiative seeks to build a modern, insight-driven audit ecosystem that aligns with the C&AG's mandate for transparency and accountability in public finance.
