Siddaramaiah rejects Bhagwat's Hindu nation claim

Mysuru, Nov 11 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday countered RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statement that "India has always been a Hindu nation," while also commenting on the Delhi bomb blast that, he said, could impact the ongoing Bihar elections.
"India will never be a Hindu nation. Ours is a pluralistic country with diverse cultures, languages, and religions. The RSS and its affiliates have been repeating such claims for years, but it will never happen," Siddaramaiah told reporters here.
Referring to the Delhi blast, the Chief Minister said it may influence the Bihar polls and could go against the BJP. "I express my condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the blast. It is too early to comment on the security lapses," he said.
