AP: Drones surveillance in remote areas to control crime: Kakinada SP

Kakinada, Nov 24(UNI)Kakinada district SP Dr Vikrant Patil said the deployment of Drones for round-the-clock surveillance in sensitive and remote areas to keep crime under check has started yielding results.
He said on Sunday alone several people were arrested while consuming alcohol in public places in areas such as Yetimoga, Toorangi, Jagannadhapuram , Kakinada Port and surrounding areas due to surveillance by Drone.
Sub-divisional police officer Raghuveer Vishnu said that they had identified in advance extended areas, gardens, open places, and parks that are prone to crime with the help of information technology and arranging drone surveillance.
