Vijayendra flays Cong govt, questions diversion of funds for marginalised amid drought

Bengaluru, May 1 (UNI) Vijayendra Yediyurappa, Karnataka BJP President, has delivered a stark assessment of Karnataka's agricultural sector in the face of an unyielding drought, raising concerns about the diversion of funds meant for marginalised communities for political purposes.
"It remains uncertain whether the funds allocated for Dalits, Backward Class, and farmers have been misused for political appeasement amid severe drought in the state," Vijayendra said, taking to X on Wednesday.
He bemoaned the enduring struggles of farmers across the state, noting that despite the severity of the situation, relief efforts have fallen short. He pointed out the lack of operational cowsheds and the failure to distribute essential fodder, exacerbating the challenges posed by the parched landscape.
