TN CM submits memorandum to 16th FC seeking Rs 6,84,000 cr towards State specific grants

Chennai, Nov 18 (UNI) Tamil Nadu government on Monday submitted memorandum to the 16th Finance Commission seeking Rs 6,84,500 crore towards State Specific Grants and Investments Needs, besides Vertical Devolution a. of at least 50%, if not more, of the divisible pool to States.
The memorandum was submitted to 16th Finance Commission Chairman Dr. Arvind Panagariya by Chief Minister M K Stalin at a meeting held here today.
The grants sought included Rs 43,600 crore towards Investment Needs for Industrialization, Infrastructure needs in Urban Areas (Rs 5,32,000 crore), Funding Requirement in Power Sector
